Giving Thanks to Football

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! One thing I am thankful for this year is football. This is the time of the year that not only is the most exciting since the CFP still isn’t set in stone, but it is also the time that gives me anxiety since the season is coming to a close. Sure, we have the insignificant bowl season to look forward to, but what I will really miss is the full slate of Saturday games, College Game Day, the tailgating, and those glorious midnight, double down Hawaii games. We will have a spike of excitement for March Madness but then we spend the rest of Spring and Summer waiting for the end of August until we start it all up again. This Thanksgiving weekend let’s give thanks to college football while we still have it. Should be a fun couple weeks ahead.

I feel great about this week’s games. I am well overdue for a fantastic week. Follow these winners!

Michigan +9 vs. Ohio State – OSU is the superior team. I just think UM has been playing very well of late and will put up a fight at the Big House.

Ohio State 27 Michigan 23

Auburn +3.5 vs. Alabama – Play the number, not the teams. Auburn hangs tight. Will it be enough for Bama to make the CFP?

Alabama 27 Auburn 24

Wisconsin -2.5 vs. Minnesota – Temps in the 30’s with a mix and snow and rain will limit Minny’s passing game. Jonathan Taylor has been running wild. This game gets him a Heisman invite.

Wisconsin 24 Minnesota 21

Memphis -11.5 vs. Cincinnati – Pretty big line on this one. Cincy’s O is struggling and I am unsure it can keep up with Memphis. Will be a much more competitive conference title game.

Memphis 35 Cincinnati 23

Tennessee -22 vs. Vanderbilt – The Vols are starting to turn the corner and this is a huge game to get momentum into next year.

Tennessee 34 Vanderbilt 10

UNC -9.5 at NC State – I will be at this game. Sadly…. NC State is very young and very injured. Nothing left in the tank this year.

UNC 33 NC State 20

Florida -17.5 vs. Florida State – The Gators want that 10 win season. FSU wants to end the season quickly.

Florida 38 Florida State 17

California +1.5 at UCLA – Two very unpredictable teams. Bruins QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson is banged up which takes away his scrambling ability.

California 27 UCLA 24

Duke +8.5 vs. Miami Florida – Miami is not 8 points better than anyone. Ask FIU.

Miami Florida 24 Duke 17

Michigan State -22.5 vs. Maryland – MSU needs a bowl game to salvage something with this horrific season. Maryland is a dumpster fire.

Michigan State 38 Maryland 13

Boston College +8.5 at Pittsburgh – AJ Dillon keeps BC in this game. Nothing comes easy to Pitt.
Pittsburgh 28 Boston College 24
