It Goes By Fast! Week 11 College Football Picks

I swear, I was just watching Michigan play Notre Dame a minute ago. We are already approaching the end of the college football season. I feel like it is Sunday afternoon after a long Saturday of partying and I am consumed with the inevitable arrival of Monday work.  I am dreading the end of the football season. After March Madness in basketball, we all wait five long months for the start of college football. Sometimes, I wish away the Summer so that football season can arrive. It finally comes, and in a blink of an eye, it is over. So sad. We still have a few weeks left of the season, so let’s embrace the great games to come and hope everything is as wild as I project it to be.

After another winning week last week, here are my winners for this week. Climb aboard the train and let’s win some money!

Virginia Tech +3 vs. Pittsburgh – Both teams are about as up and down as you can get. The parity of the ACC is overwhelming (ask NC State about Wake). I think the Hokies are due for a good game and Pitt is due for a clunker.
Virginia Tech 28 Pittsburgh 27

Boston College +19 vs. Clemson – Sure, the Tigers have been crushing everyone the past month. I don’t doubt they win this convincingly, but I believe AJ Dillon gets some yards and steals some time away from the Clemson offense. Just enough to find a way to cover.
Clemson 38 Boston College 21

Liberty +23.5 at Virginia – Liberty? Odd team to back, right? Their offense can put up some points and they beat Troy, New Mexico and Old Dominion (who beat Virginia Tech). I think they scare the Cavaliers.
Virginia 33 Liberty 27

Mississippi State +24 at Alabama – Am I insane for picking against the might Tide? Probably. Bama is coming off a physical game against LSU, Tua is banged up, and MSU’s defense is pretty tough.
Alabama 38 Mississippi State 17

Ohio State -3.5 at Michigan State – Everyone is hating on OSU. They got worked by Purdue and struggled against Nebraska. MSU can’t seem to move the ball through the air and the Buckeyes really need some style points. I still think the game will be close, but Ohio State comes out on top and barely covers.
Ohio State 27 Michigan State 23

Arkansas +11.5 vs. LSU – The wind has been taken out from the back of the LSU sailboat. Bama’s defense will do that to a team. After that deflating loss and laying a goose egg on the scoreboard, it will be hard for the Tigers to get up for this game. The Razorbacks will treat this like their Super Bowl and keep things close enough to cover.
LSU 28 Arkansas 17

Texas Tech +1.5 vs. Texas – The wtf line of the week. Highly touted all year, Texas comes off a painful last second loss against West Virginia and walks into a trap. Texas Tech is a tough team with a much improved defense. This will be a signature win for them and save Kliff Kingsbury’s job.
Texas Tech 31 Texas 30

Tulane -11.5 vs. East Carolina – Tulane is one of the better 4-5 teams you will find. They beat Memphis, Tulsa and South Florida. A bad loss for ECU could possibly be the death knell for Scottie Montgomery.
Tulane 35 East Carolina 20

Indiana -2 vs. Maryland – The Terps are the better team here but too much drama has circled around the Maryland program this year. I see them throwing in the white towel for the season.
Indiana 31 Maryland 27
