4-1 last week and 5-0 the week before, I have to say October was very good to us. Now moving into November I hope we can keep the winners coming!
Tulane +7.5 vs. USF
I love this matchup for the Green Wave as they are really starting to hit stride late in the season. On the flip side, you saw USF get exposed last week and they are still very much overrated. I will most likely be fading USF the rest of the year as their schedule gets quite hard from here on out. Sprinkle a little on the money line as well because Tulane has the chance for the upset here.
Michigan State -2.5 vs. Maryland
Michigan State matches up very well against this Maryland team. Sparty’s strength is at stopping the run and really that is all that Maryland does well. I think you see a similar situation that you saw against Iowa where MSU stuffs the run game and forces the Terps to pass, something they are not very good at. On the flip side, Michigan State QB Rocky Lombardi looked good last week coming in relief of Lewerke and I think he is actually an upgrade at QB.
UCLA +10.5 vs. Oregon
Both teams are coming off bad losses last week but UCLA is getting there starting QB back while Oregon’s QB is banged up due to a concussion last week. I think Chip will have some extra tricks up his sleeve in this game facing his old team and he gets his UCLA boys up for this one. UCLA keeps it close enough to stay within the number here.
Memphis -13 vs ECU
This Memphis team has had some tough games the last few weeks and I think folks are forgetting how potent this offense can be which is giving you some line value here. ECU is a bad squad and this line feels really short to me and with the Tigers coming off a bye I expect them to come out looking for blood having 2 weeks to stew on the last beatdown they took. Memphis wins by over 2 TDs.
Penn State +10 vs. Michigan
This is really a line value play for me here as I hate to get in front of this Michigan team as they have looked great lately and are one of my picks to make the CFB Playoffs. However, this is too many points in what should be a matchup of fairly event teams. Penn State gets up for these type of games as well and has played all the big boys close this year and I think that trend continues. I’ll take the points but Michigan probably wins this in a close one.
