Bulldog Dave’s Week 12 CFB Picks

The season is almost over but there is still money to be made in these last few weeks so let’s close out the year with a bang.

SMU +12.5 vs. Memphis

SMU has had a great year and sport an explosive offense that can go toe to toe with anyone in the AAC.  I expect to see a high flying shootout in this one with the Tigers getting the better of the Mustangs in the end. But this is just too many points so I’ll roll with the dogs here.

Rutgers +11 vs. Indiana

Rutgers has been much improved under second year head coach Chris Ash..  They face an Indiana squad that really hasn’t impressed me at all as of late.  I like this game to be tight with the Rutgers ground game keeping them in this one.  I’ll back the Scarlett Knights on the road here.

Wisconsin -7 vs. Michigan

I am in the same boat with some of my fellow SSA contributors who believe that Wisconsin is overrated and will be exposed when they get to the Big 10 title game. However this is not the week for that as they face a Michigan team at home that is probably a year away from winning the conference. Wiscy takes care of business at home here.

Louisiana Monroe +37 vs. Auburn

In the hold your nose and take the points play of the week I’ll back ULM here for a simple reason, Auburn just had its second biggest game of the year last week knocking off #1 Georgia and then they have their biggest game of the week next week against Bama.  I expect the Tigers to get up early and pull their starters late for a nice backdoor cover here.
