Bulldog Dave’s Week 11 CFB Picks

The season is starting to wind down and different teams have different motives. Some are trying to make a bowl, some trying to squeeze into the playoffs and some have just totally given up. Let’s see if we can spot who’s who this week.

Auburn +3 vs. Georgia
The Bulldogs have gotten all the headlines this year and are currently #1 in the polls. However, from a talent standpoint here these team are dead even. I also give the coaching edge here to Auburn as Gus has had more big game experience. This should be a close one but I like the Tigers to pull the upset.

Ohio State -17 vs. Michigan State
Folks think these two teams are on the same level because they are ranked 16th and 17th respectively. Unfortunately, the talent rankings just don’t agree here. Yes, Michigan State is playing for a chance to win the conference but the pressure of that on the road here is just too much and they get blown out.

Colorado State +7 (buy hook) vs. Boise State
This Rams team hasn’t quite been themselves lately but I like them to get back on track in what should be a big matchup in the Mountain West. The Broncos are just not the same since Chris Peterson left and I think this game stays tight all the way down to the wire. I’ll take the points and the home team here to get it done.

Wisconsin -11.5 vs. Iowa
Everyone just loves Iowa after they destroyed Ohio State last week but I have watched a bunch of Iowa this year and that game was a total aberration. The Iowa I know is slow plotting and their QB is not very good. Meanwhile, although I don’t love Wisconsin to make the CFB Playoffs due to poor schedule I think they take care of business at home here against a team they are better than in all phases of the game. Go Wiscy!
