Bulldog Dave’s Week 2 CFB Picks

Week 1 was decent as I went 4-3 on our plays. This week I look to do even better. Lets hit some winners!

Tennessee -11 vs. Virginia Tech

This is a classic overreaction spot where people watched Tennessee struggle with Appy State last week and are jumping on the dog.  I disagree and will take the more talented Tennessee team to bounce back with a big win.

Western Kentucky +29 vs. Alabama

Alabama heads home after destroying USC last week and faces a lowly WKU squad that most people believe will get rolled in this game. However, Alabama has Ole Miss on deck and this is a classic sandwich spot.  Take the Hilltopers here to cover the number.

Tulsa +29 vs. Ohio State

In another great look ahead spot Tulsa faces Ohio State the week before Ohio State’s big matchup with Oklahoma.  I am rolling with a very underrated Tulsa team to stay within the number.

Duke -5 vs. Wake

Duke has the coach advantage, player advantage and they are at home here.  I think they take care of business and cover the short number.

NC State -5 vs. ECU

In past years ECU has been a tough out for many ACC teams including NC State. However, I believe with the change in coaching ECU won’t be as good as years past.  I am also a big believer in NC State’s coach Dave Doeren as he has steadily improved the recruits for the Wolfpack.  Go ahead and lay the points with NC State.

Virginia +24 vs. Oregon

This is an Oregon team that I see struggling early this year as they move to a new defense and break in another new quarterback. This is just too many points to be giving a well coached Virginia team.

Washington State +10.5 vs. Boise State

Another classic over-reaction spot here.  WSU has the talent edge, coaching edge, and is catching double digits.  Look for the Cougs to cover the number.

Miami -24 vs. FAU

FAU just doesn’t have the talent in this matchup to keep up with a powerful but under the radar Miami squad.  Lay the points and watch the bloodbath.
